Financial aid will not be awarded until a student’s admission/enrollment file is complete. This means all final high school and college transcripts must be on record with the Admissions and Enrollment Services office. Any missing items will delay a financial aid award. Once a student’s enrollment file is complete, the student can check the TCC financial aid Web site for financial aid disbursement dates. Transfer students are awarded once transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions are received and evaluated, provided the student meets TCC’s Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid.
First-year, first-time-in-college students receiving loans are prohibited by federal law from receiving their loan money until they have attended school for 30 days, so students in this circumstance should make proper arrangements to cover their own financial obligations for the first two months of class.Tags: Financial Aid, New Student
